Campground Awards 2026
Every campground in our directory holds a seal. 2,876 of 30,896 also earned an award from their public rating. Here is every rule we use.
Verified Campground
Every campground with a page in our directory holds this one. It shows the place is listed here and that its badge is real.
30,896 campgrounds hold it
Top Rated 2026
A public rating of 4.7 or higher on 25 or more reviews.
1,117 campgrounds hold it
Highly Rated 2026
A public rating of 4.5 or higher on 10 or more reviews. A place that clears the Top Rated bar gets that one instead.
1,743 campgrounds hold it
Best in the State 2026
One per state. We take every campground in the state with 10 or more reviews, and the state needs at least 8 of them. Each rating is weighted by how many reviews stand behind it, so a 5.0 on a dozen reviews does not beat a 4.8 on a few hundred. The highest weighted rating wins.
48 campgrounds hold it
Most Reviewed 2026
One per state. The campground with the most public reviews, when it has 25 or more and the state has at least 5 rated places. A tie for first gives no award.

How We Keep It Fair
- An award comes only from the rating and review count shown on the campground's own page. We never round a rating up.
- Nobody can pay for a badge, and we do not sell a higher spot.
- Each badge is good for 2026. We check the numbers again for the next year.
- Every badge links to a check page that shows who holds it and why.
- Campground owners can copy their badge from the Get Your Badge box on their listing.
