Assateague Island in an RV
A barrier island with wild horses on the beach, split between a national seashore and a state park. Most people give it 2 days.
When to goMay through October. Greenhead flies own July, and that is not an exaggeration.
What fitsUp to 35 feet. Access matters more than space here. A van gets where the big ones cannot.
What catches people outSites are on open sand with no shade. The horses will go through anything you leave out.
Where you would actually stay
Picked for the trip rather than a list somebody was paid to be on. Anything with a link books direct with them, and we will do it for you if you would rather not spend the evening on hold.
