The Outer Banks in an RV
A thin chain of barrier islands with the Atlantic on one side, sounds on the other, and wild horses at the north end. Most people give it 5 days.
When to goMay through October. Hurricane season is August into October.
What fitsUp to 40 feet. Plenty of room to park and enough hookups that a trailer makes sense.
What catches people outCape Point and Ocracoke are exposed and windy. The ferry to Ocracoke takes RVs but book it.
